Next Meeting: Robbie Burns Night!

We normally try to meet the 3rd Friday of the month, which is tonight. Jeff and Tammy have graciously offered to host the meeting for next Friday the 24th. So since we are constantly looking for a place to meet and they offered, next Friday it is.

Our January meeting is Robert Burns night. Robert Burns was a Scottish Poet who wrote the Epic Poem the Ballad of John Barleycorn, so we celebrate most things Scottish, hint hint Scottish Ales, really strong Scottish ales.

The Newsletter (now online!) has Jeff and Tammy's OKC address. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I really hope to see a lot of you for Robbie Burns Night.

Mashed-In Homebrew Showcase

There is a big homebrew event the "mashed-In" Homebrew showcase coming up Feb 16th. We are going to go as a club and set up the Chuck Wagon. We will be discussing this at the meeting but we need

  1. Beer – I am going to donate 2 kegs but we have 8 taps and it would be nice to fill the tap handles up. So I need people to pledge beer for the event.
  2. Servers – we are going to need at least 6-8 people to help set up the chuck wagon, serve the beer and then tear the chuck wagon back down afterwards.

If you would like to showcase your beer individually the fee is $10 and you can Contact Gail White at the Brew Shop or just let me know.
